Approaching Purpa
Heading north-east up the western side of Pakistan, over Peshawar with the Khyber Pass to the left of us, heading towards Jalalabad and Kabul in Afghanistan, we are confronted with the Karakoram Range.
On the other side of the closest peaks is the ancient Silk Road, running from Kashi to the left, and Hotan to the right.
Flying on the highest air route in the world, we'll be crossing right over the peak on the left, Mt. Rakaposhi, and into China.
We know it as waypoint Purpa.
